MTC Part Two - Provo

We were really grateful to Josie and her mom, April Rey, who coordinated to help pick Brendan up from the airport and take him to the Provo MTC. It was a load off my mama heart to know that he would be taken care of, especially since he would be without a phone. He wasn't going to receive his mission phone until getting to the MTC, and in a world without pay phones that is a lot different from when I was growing up.

Thankfully, he made it from Spokane to Salt Lake without incident. April picked him up and was so kind as to give him his "last supper" at In 'n Out and kill some time with him by walking around BYU and checking out the computer science building before dropping him off at his appointed time.

Elder Jerdon's transition to the MTC sounds like it went pretty smoothly, especially since he had already become friends with his companion and his district via Zoom during home MTC. He is rooming with them now, and they are keeping it fun and full of the Spirit.

Elder Jerdon also loved meeting his favorite instructor, Brother Ng, in person.

Here's to several more weeks of learning until September!
