We're Having a...GENDER REVEAL PARTY!

No, I'm not having a baby. Just the party. Haha. Our nephew, Traegen Jerdon, and his wife, Brie, are expecting and thought it would be fun to have a gender reveal party. Knowing that Traegen is HUGE Star Wars fan like my boys (and Brie is a really good sport and learning what she can), I offered to throw them the party. With the help of some Pinterest ideas that Brie sent me, Brendan's fancy, expensive color-changing lightsaber, and some props, we had ourselves a fun little get-together. 

They wanted to invite Grandma and Grandpa Jerdon, cousin Xander Noel, and Brie's sister Ashleigh and her family, who live in north Spokane. Star Wars attire was encouraged, and we were thrilled to see that everyone made an effort. 

We played a little Star Wars Catch Phrase and trivia until everyone was there. Then the big moment happened when Traegen and Brie ignited the lightsaber to see if it would be blue "Jedi" or pink "Princess." Xander caught it on his phone. 

Then I had a little something to get the new family started. His name will be called Revan Jerdon after a character from the Star Wars Old Republic video game. Traegen is one proud papa. Brie sounded happy to join the boy mom club. There are just the cutest.
