Future Geek Squad

It's starting to become common place for us to find computer parts laying around the house. Brendan has discovered the joys of taking electronics apart.

He started by having a friend with a broken laptop and wanted someone to try and fix it. Brendan offered to, and since it couldn't get much more broken than it was, he was given the chance. Unfortunately, the replacement parts were not going to make the repair worth it, but Bren has continued to learn and analyze. YouTube tutorials have been his best friend as he's scoured the internet in search of more information about the inner workings of computers.

He has also been learning about programming and video game creation as he's been coding and working on his merit badges for Programming and Game Design. He's been designing his own webpage for his own little start up which he's calling "Little Dipper Games", and would spend all day everyday doing it if we weren't such horribly inconsiderate parents and put time restrictions on his screen time.

Anyhoo, his understanding of how computers work is pretty impressive, and he has told me that he is currently aspiring to get a job on the Geek Squad at Best Buy. I'm not sure what the qualifications are for a job like that, but if he keeps going the way his is, I bet he'll make it happen.
