A Father Son Night at Chuck E. Cheese

Back when Caleb and Brendan were in elementary, while we were in Henderson, Chuck E. Cheese was a semi-regular stop. There used to be coupons that I'd get in the mail or online for free tokens or buy 10 get 20 type deals, so we would make it a think over the summer to go play some games and enjoy some indoor play during the hot months. It was a great time! Not to mention that friends sometimes had birthday parties there, so Bren and Caleb were well acquainted with that mouse.

Well, somewhere after we moved to Toledo and then moved here, sweet Riley missed out on that fun. Then Dad had a great idea. How about starting up a father-son outing with each boy, rotating months, and kick it off by taking Riley to Chuck E. Cheese's for the first time! Riley wasn't sure about the whole thing, partially because he can be a nervous kid, but also because he literally had no idea what it was. Well, it ended up being the night of his life! It didn't hurt that you could get extra free tickets towards prizes if you came in your Halloween costume! Go Kylo Ren!

He absolutely loved playing in the playground area, exploring all the tunnels.

Then all the arcade games were a blast, too! He played a lot of skee ball and enjoyed the Sponge Bob themed Whack-a-Patty.

Apparently, he also got really lucky at the "try your luck" game and won a bunch of tickets to get himself a big swirly lollipop.

He came home just raving about how Chuck E. Cheese has "THE BEST" pizza. The sauce is the best and the cheese is the best. He got to have root beer. It was pretty much the best night ever. Thanks, Dad! Here's the to start of a new family tradition.
