A Very Residency Christmas

After hosting some resident families for Thanksgiving, one of the other families, the Pikes, decided to host a Christmas party for the families with kids. Look at us being all social!

Libby Pike organized some graham cracker gingerbread house decorating, sugar cookie decorating, coloring, potato pinting AND a cute little reindeer candy cane craft! She really went all out.

Riley got right on the sugar cookie decorating.

And then went right to work tasting his creations.

Riley and Caleb both made the reindeer candy cane crafts. Caleb was a good sport as always since he was by far the oldest "child" at the party. What can I say? We are always the grandparents of the group with our "old" kids. The Pike's have a daughter in second grade and that's as close as it got.

Jacob and Brendan collaborated on a graham cracker house. It's always getting those walls up that is the trickiest!

It was a nice change from the usual to have a little kid-friendly get together. No pressure to have everyone behaving, and activities that everyone can get on board with. Love  it!
