The Prize
Brendan has been so eager to finally lose a tooth. He actually asked me once what it would feel like to have a loose tooth and how it would fall out. So, it was not a huge surprise when he was on cloud nine to tell me that he finally had one. A loose tooth! You'd think he'd won the lottery. Then again, he was pretty excited about the prospect of the tooth fairy bringing him some money. This child counts and recounts his money, eagerly dreaming of the things he can buy with it. It's kinda ridiculous.
Anyhoo, the part that WAS surprising was how quickly he worked that baby out of his mouth to GET to the money part of the deal. Usually it can take a few days or a week to wiggle a tooth out. Sometimes it takes something like a bite out of an apple. Not Bren. Shear will. It took 24 hours. He told us it was loose one day and by the following evening, I came home from running errands and he tells me that his tooth is out. That boy was really workin' it!
Caleb let him borrow his little tooth holder and he was absolutely thrilled to receive a dollar from the tooth fairy for it. What a prize! What a guy!
