Off the Mat

This tweet boy (yes, I said "tweet") is getting so big! He is already seven months, 21 pounds and making his way towards crawling. Ugh! Where does the time go?!?

He's been rolling and otherwise "migrating" around on his little playmat, occasionally even putting his chubby knees under himself and swaying before giving in to gravity and his enormousness, bless his heart.

Mind you, I am in NO hurry for him to be mobile. It is just fun to see him trying to get to things and actually playing with his little rattles and toys. He can sit up pretty well (with only the occassional topple), and LOVES his little Roll-Arounds gumball machine. He knows how to push the button that makes the balls roll out and the music and lights go off. It continues to amaze me to see him learning new things before my very eyes!


Recently, he spotted some stacks of computer disks that we had stashed under a dresser. They DO make a delightful sound when they knock together. So, the "getting-into-stuff phase" has already begun. (sigh)
