Eavesdropping

Tonight as I have been writing emails and going about my usual nocturnal activities while Jake is at school studying away, I find myself listening in on my two little trouble-makers who were supposed to be settling down and going to bed. Here are some of the things that little boys discuss and giggle about when they have nothing they are able to do except sit on their beds and talk quietly.

* how funny it would be if the whole family was "pooping at the same time"
* various knock-knock jokes
* how our brains control everything we do (they had to get out of bed and tell me about that conclusion)
* how to read the digital alarm clock
* the many sides of Batman
* what kind of silly noises they can make
* if one or the other has the will-power to stay up until Mom & Dad go to sleep

Ah, childhood. Where the most ridiculous things are hilarious and everything else fascinating.
