Swiss Cheese, Wrestling & Wading...Ah, Eugene!
Today was a sunny day pleasantly spent at Washington Park. It was the first day of the wading pools opening up, so we decided to get the whole family out for some sunshine, fresh air and a picnic. The timing worked out so that even Jake could come hang with us before work in the afternoon (although, he did opt to come in his scrubs).
While we waited for the large wading pool to be filled (fire hydrate style), the boys enjoyed the playground. There is this one weird, swiss cheese-looking structure by the play equipment that the boys think is pretty cool.

It makes for some good climbing as Caleb demonstrated and some mousy antics as Brendan showed us.
Then it was lunch time, topped off with a wrestling match with Daddy.
It was finally one of those moments when it was alright to wrestle - most of the time, they try to do it in the house and end up with an earful, so they were loving it.

Shortly thereafter, it was wading pool time and the boys enjoyed splashing around and making "Bigfoot" tracks on the concrete. The park ended up filling up quite a bit, but the wading pool was pleasantly sparce. Just the way we like it. I love these simple, lazy summer days.
