Building with Bob & the Portland Children's Museum

It took us a year and a half, but we finally took the opportunity to go up to Portland when Jake had his last interview this last weekend. We surprised the boys by kidnapping Caleb from school and going up to the Portland Children's Musuem. We rode in on the light rail, and spent a few hours just having fun.

Playing on Scoop
Building a gate in Bob the Builder's shed
Building with giant Lincoln logs
Experimenting with clay
Caleb and Jacob's Y wing and volcano
Playing on the bus
Playing at the theatre
Painting faces
Exploring water
Playing in the grocery store
Our goofy guys
It was a really fun museum. It was so refreshing to be in a place that was really family and child friendly. Children could touch everything, and did they ever. The boys had a blast.

After that, we were able to visit with our old Eugene friends, Lisa & Tom Jensen, in Hillsboro. It was so nice to see them again and meet their new baby girl, Lucy. We also met up with Stephanie & John Graham and their new baby boy, Baron, as well as Justin & Kelly Aida. It had been over six months since we'd seen them, so it was a great Eugene ward reunion. Hopefully, we won't wait so long to visit Portland again. Who knows, maybe we'll end up in Portland area. Only time and a letter will tell...

We had a ton of fun visiting with you guys! It was fun to get together again with people from Eugene. Your boys are so funny and fun! It makes me excited for our boys to be that age.... when they start learning how to use the force :). Isn't that children's museum just so cute and perfect?? There's so much to do there, you could spend all day running from one thing to the next! We haven't been for awhile, but we will have to take advantage of the free first friday of the month next month! Hope the interview went well and things work out! We would love to have you guys up here!

I'm so glad it worked out for you guys to come up and hit the museum on your way. If you end up here, as Steph said, we'll definitely have to take advantage of those free Fridays and head over more often. Jack was in seventh heaven all weekend by the way, he just loved those big boys of yours so feel free to stop by anytime! Good luck with the decision process!
