Bren's Bros
Today, Brendan and I went to the ward Mom 'n Me playgroup Halloween get-together. He LOVES going to his little playgroups. This is the first time that he's started enjoying his own friends without Caleb. I came to the realization the other day that until now, he hadn't really had his own friends. He had just been tagging along behind Caleb and Caleb's older buddies - and that's just never as fun. But now, Brendan has friends like Calvin Higgins and Henry Cahoon who are just his age. And on days when we have playgroup, he dashes to get ready so that he can see his friends. It's so cute. 
Being a Halloween activity, this playgroup activity was especially fun for him. All the kids came in their costumes, so he got to finally show off the skeleton costume that he's been wearing around the house since the beginning of the month.
He also really enjoyed painting his own little sugar pumpkin. He very maticulously covered every orange portion with paint.
The kids also got to play with some homemade salt dough and sing (or rather listen) to some fun Halloween songs. After the planned activities, he ran around with his buddies - completely in his element. I'm so glad that he's finding his own little niche.
