This last Saturday we had the opportunity to go up to the beach in Lincoln City for the first time and hang out with some old friends we met while over in England, Brooke & Jalynn Hanson and their two munchkins, Jake and Gracie.

Back in England, Brooke was stationed at RAF Mildenhall while Jake was at RAF Lakenheath, but we were in the same ward and became fast friends. It was good to see their family and see how big THEIR Jake has gotten.

We also got to meet sweet Gracie for the first time. What a cutie pie!

They are currently stationed out in New Mexico, but were out visiting their families in Vancouver, so we HAD to take advantage of a little visit.

Jalynn and I were able to catch up - my, had it been a year and a half? All the boys enjoyed an afternoon playing in the sand.

Brooke and Jacob really got into it, trying to work out a baracade and fort, but it was a losing battle against the waves. Jacob and Brendan also discovered a poor baby dolphin that must have been attacked and then washed up on shore. Other than that, though, the day was just gorgeous and the temperature perfect.

We were all able to stay over at a really nice home that Brooke's cousin owns there on the outskirts of Lincoln City. We played games, watched movies and the men made a night run to snag us all some Cold Stone once the kiddies were in bed. Yum!

It was a really nice overnight getaway. Thanks for a great time, guys!
