Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!

Bet cha didn't know that March 2nd is Dr. Seuss' birthday, as well as the day that the National Education Association deemed as "Read Across America Day". Well, I didn't either, until Caleb's school had a family literacy night last week with a theme based around this very thing. There was "Cat in the Hat" facepainting, free books, storytelling, book and bookmark making and a light dinner. It was really cute and the boys really enjoyed it. When we got home, we took a picture of their kitty faces. It was almost as exciting as Halloween. Let's all snuggle up with a good book today.
